Camp Conrad in the San Bernardino Mountains (Same place as last year)

bulletCampers, please be at the 4-H office by 8:00 AM Monday morning.
bulletEverything that goes up the hill clean will come down the hill very dirty.  Radios, CD Players and Cell Phones will often come home in a non-working condition.  The dirt in the area is very fine powder that gets into everything.
bulletTrash bags make the worst luggage.  They rarely survive the cargo bays on the bus.  Plastic tote boxes with lids (Keep Box) work the best.  They will fit neatly in the bus cargo bays and they fit neatly under your bunk at camp.  Please tag all luggage with your name and cabin name.
bulletPlease do not put candy or food of any kind in your luggage.  Squirrels, chipmunks and other rodents will chew into your luggage and through your clothing to get to your food.  Pack any snacks or candy separately from your luggage.  The counselors will collect it when you arrive and store it in a safe location away from your cabin.
bulletRemember to put your name on everything you want to get back.
bulletLost & Found: Lost clothing and other articles that come back to the OCCE 4-H office without any identification will be held for two months before being disposed of.
bulletHats are a must!  A lot of trees have been removed because of the bark beetle infestations.  You are going to need to bring your own shade.
bulletSunscreen, enough for the week.
bulletA good flashlight is worth its weight in gold.
bulletMedical: Camp is staffed with a registered nurse to administer medication and first aid.
bulletMail: If you wish to send mail to campers the address is

bulletPlease keep in mind that if you don't get your letters in the mail by Tuesday they probably will not get up to camp on time.
bulletE-Mail
bulletYou can e-mail your camper or counselor at SC@oc4h.org and put the campers name on the subject line.  E-mail letters will be distributed each evening at dinner along with the regular mail.  Please, no more than one message per day.
bulletSorry, campers will not be able to e-mail you back.
bulletPhones are not available for campers to make or receive calls.  If your parents  need to contact you, please have them call the 4-H office. 714.277.4375
bulletBring an extra pair of shoes, shorts and a shirt that can get really wet & dirty at the games.
bulletWe have no place to spend  money so please don't bring any.
bulletPlease don't bring any gum because we'll have to take it away from you.
bulletDid I mention you should bring a flashlight.  Extra batteries would be a good idea too.
