The best way to deal with these files is to right click on the file name & select the "save as." option. Save the file to some place on your computer where you can find it. The DOC files require Microsoft Word. The PDF files require Adobe Reader.
If you do not own either of these you can down load the viewers. Just click on Adobe or Microsoft above.
