About our E-mail Service

As part of our website we maintain our own e-mail server. @oc4h.org

We have an e-mail alias list.

These are just e-mail addresses that point to another address. Your message is not stored on our server.

For example if you e-mail Rachel Taylor at rachel@oc4h.org or rytaylor@oc4h.org the message will simply forward to her ucdavis.edu address.

If you e-mail iwanttobearockstar@oc4h.org it gets forwarded to me. Not because I want to be a rock star. If you send a e-mail to an address on our server that does not exist it will get forwarded to the webmaster.

Each club is assigned an address FBS, RCW, YLC, YLKK, MGG and so on @oc4h.org these addresses point to the club leaders address. In this way we minimize the exposure of your personal or company e-mail to spam harvesting. Club leaders are responsible for keeping us up to date on what address you want assigned to you alias. You can point your alias to more than one address so that several people in the club will receive the same e-mail message. If an alias address becomes spam crazy we can simply change it to something else without effecting your personal or company e-mail address.

You cannot however send mail outbound through an alias address.

This is a regular e-mail mailbox that you can access through the internet much the same as Gmail or Yahoo Mail. You can also set it up to download to a e-mail program such as Outlook or Mozilla Thunderbird.
