Leader:  Annalisa Goode    Contact Information

Meetings: First Wednesday Of Each Month - 7:00 pm - 9:00pm

Goals: Teach hand and machine sewing and quilting.  And to learn about textiles - all while having FUN!
What to expect: In this project we will learn how to use a sewing machine, cut out patterns, sew clothing and quilts.  If you are interested and if time permits we can incorporate yarns and fibers into a project.  Enhancing your personal style, accessorizing your room and having fun while working in a group.
Time Required: Meetings are one day each month, you may need to work at  home to finish your project
Effort Required:

In addition to displaying your creations at home, you will be expected to display them at Youth Expo and the Orange County Fair:
Fashion Revue (one week-end day in April and one day at Youth Expo)
You will model your outfit on a runway, while a commentary you wrote is read aloud.
You will also be interviewed by the judges.
YOUTH EXPO  (a "learning fair" of 2-3 days)

You will model your outfit again in the Youth Building, which is similar to fashion revue.
    ORANGE COUNTY FAIR
No modeling here, just turn in your sewing projects to be judged by professionals.

Estimated Costs: Expenses will depend on what you are making.  Using recycled materials may keep your costs at a minimum.  Or you may invest in more expensive patterns and fabrics.  Patterns cost about $10 and fabrics range from $3.00/yard.
Age Requirement 9 years old and up
