VILLA PARK FIREMAN'S BREAKFAST
Each year the Orange Acres Backbreakers help the Villa Park firemen raise money for their volunteer fireman's program.  OABB wraps silverware a few days before the event.  Then, during the even we bus tables, empty trash cans and help in the serving lines.  We also have a baked goods booth to help raise funds for our club

SAMARITAN'S PURSE (Operation Christmas Child)
Shannon and Dustin are asking OABB members to put together a shoe box for Samaritan's Purse.  This International Relief project (http://www.samaritanspurse.org) "bring the love of Christ to a hurting world" .  Members fill shoe boxes with toys, school supplies and toiletries for children around the world

FOOD CLOTHING AND TOILETRIES FOR MARY'S KITCHEN
Sjoen and Samantha contacted Mary's Kitchen (517 W. Struck Ave., Orange, CA  (714) 633-0444).  They help over 100 people a day by serving hot meals and allowing people to clean up.  In addition to hot meals, they provide warm clothing, sleeping bags, toiletries and other items so many of us take for granted.  They asked our community's e-tree to help get the word out to the community.  They are hoping for a generous response on Sunday, November 5th at the OPA arena.  "If you want happiness for a lifetime, help someone". (FLYER)

HEIFER INTERNATIONAL FUNDRAISER
Heather and Sjoen are collecting change for Heifer International (http://www.heifer.org).  There is a contest going through the county clubs to see who can raise the most money for Heifer International.  The winning club will get an ice cream party.  And the knowledge they have helped a very worthwhile cause - Heifer International - that provides livestock to third world countries to help people help themselves
