COSTS

The amount you spend on this project depends upon you.  Model Rocket kits can cost as little as $6.00.  All Model Rockets we built last year (2000 - 2001) cost between $10.00 and $20.00.  Larger rockets that use engines larger than "D" can cost as little as $30.00 to several hundred dollars.

Engines for each flight vary with size.  The smaller "A" - "C" engines cost roughly $1.50 - $2.00 per engine.  "D" size engines are about $3.00 per flight.  And "G" engines, the largest we can fly without a special permit cost roughly $7-10 per flight for reloadable engines, and up to $17 per flight for single-use  motors.

CLUBS AND ASSOCIATIONS

NAR (National Association of Rocketry) THE central regulating and information body for model rocketry
TRA (Tripoli Rocketry Association) Similar to NAR, Tripoli's emphasis is on High Power Rocketry
