During the January meeting, members of the rocketry project learned what forces affect the flight and stability of a rocket.  We learned about the Center of Gravity and Center of Pressure of a rocket, and how critical their positioning is for the stability of a rocket.  Once the basics were understood, we learned rocket design using a computer program called RockSim; every member had an opportunity to design and simulate the launch of a rocket.  Next meeting we'll complete our designs, and build and test small rockets.
