During Rocketry Project meetings we talk about model rocketry, learn why rockets fly, and build rockets to shoot as well as show at Youth Expo and Fair.  This requires carefully following directions, carefully aligning the fins, assembling the nose cone and parachute or streamer, sanding and painting.

After construction, the real fun begins when we shoot the rockets.  They go hundreds of feet high - or even up to 1/3 of a mile.  The trick, though, is recovering the rockets.  It helps to have an acquaintance with a quad-runner.
